Not ready for "Prime Time" video simply does not work

Finally found the answer here that video uploads to Captivate Prime directly out of Captivate 9 simply do not work. After messing with many video formats, various import methods to C9, i.e. using the media button, importing directly into library and importing directly into the slide, I feel that video capability is simply not possible yet. The bug is being fixed according to an Adobe rep post. Our company did a walkthrough of Prime with an Adobe rep and I asked him why video wasn't working. He said it was my firewall or browser interfering with the process and that he would find the answer. I found out here that it is a bug.  Is it possible to upload in another way? I can publish to devices, but that outputs a folder with many sub-folders and many files. Is it possible to upload those files one by one, because uploading a folder is impossible? Also noticed on one of Adobe's own demos that the video was streaming from YouTube. Am I better off creating a video library in YouTube, Vimeo or Aframe and streaming from there via links instead of having the video embedded in the C9 project?

I think the problem is that Captivate 9 is not compatible with my Mac OS, Mountain Lion 10.8.5. There is no other explanation for the upload freezing. It would have been nice if the Adobe C9 installer stated it was incompatible with my OS. Would have saved a lot of time troubleshooting.
