object not available in change state of

I have a wheel made up of 8 smart shapes that are each a button with a down state. On each smart shape button in advanced actions I am trying to change the state of the button that is clicked to down and the state of the other 7 to normal. My problem is that none of the smart shape button's are available in the drop down menu in the advance action menu. I tried to type the object name and the state I want but it will not update action. In the menu are other objects but none that I need for this slide. Am I forgetting to turn something on?

I am putting this in advanced actions because I am also increasing a variable by 1 for each so that the continue to next slide button will show up after the user has read each piece.

Which version are you using? The latest version is 9.0.2.437.

You talk about the Down state, which is an InBuilt state that appears automatically when you press the shape button. You can only use the action 'Change state' for custom states, not for an InBuilt state. Did you create a custom state, which will be a 4th state in the Object State panel (Normal, Over and Down are InBuilt).

Have a look at this blog post, where you'll see shape buttons having a 4th custom state, in this case used to show

I have version 9.0.1.320. This is exactly what I was looking for, I didn't know that the inbuilt states did not work in the change state.

Thank you.
