Object styles for advanced text formatting

I am in need of a way to set a style for advanced text formatting. Specifically, I have a smart shape containing formatted text, but I cannot find a way to create a style which will maintain all of the formatting (paragraph and bullets). If there is not a way to set this exact style type, is there a suitable workaround?

Please see the attached picture for an example.
