Hi there,
I wonder if anyone can help. I've recorded a project to show how a particular piece of software works. I've published that as an SWF and then imported it onto a slide in another Captivate project. When the slide is reached, it automatically starts playing the SWF. I'd like it to be paused on entering the slide, and then can be played when the user clicks on the play button.
Is there a way of doing this?
I'm using Captivate 5.5
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
You just add a button in the beginning of the slide, this will pause the project and the project will resume after the user clicks on the button.
You can also set the button to pause the slide at the beginning ar after 'x' seconds, where x is the time in seconds.
For button, set action as 'Continue'.
Make sure that the button is placed before the beginning of the SWF in the timeline.
Let me know if you need more information on this.

Aditya is right, but I want to warn you: it is not a good idea to insert a CP-SWF inside another Captivate project, because this will often cause issues. Is there a particular reason why you choose this work flow instead of having the capture software slides inserted normally in the project? It would also give you a lot more control.

Thanks for your replies. I'm inserting a CP-SWF into another project because I want it to be part of a bigger screen. So on the screen will be standard header, footer, etc, plus text describing this particular website, and then next to it will be an animation showing the website being used, which people can click to start. If I captured it within the project would the animation have to be on a slide on its own?
I'm quite new to this so any advice is really appreciated, especially if I'm going about this the wrong way!
