Hi,
I have 3 multi state buttons on one slide.
And for each button - there is audio attached to the 4 custom states.
When the learner is done with button one and goes to button two - they cycle through the states and hear that button's audio.
But what if they click back on the first button now...both audio clips will be playing at the same time.
I'd like to stop the audio from the current button if the student clicks another button. I tried stopped triggered audio in my advanced action but that didn't work.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Denise

Not an easy solution, I wonder if you did see this blog post:
Pausing Captivate's Timeline - Captivate blog
The only audio clip that will automatically be stopped when another clip starts is an audio clip triggered by the command 'Play Audio'. If you attach audio to a state in a multistate object, that is in reality 'object audio' which will not be stopped when another clip is started. The command 'Stop Triggered Audio' only works for audio clips started with 'Play Audio'.
I have an idea how to solve it , but want to explore it first and have to travel in a couple of hours, it will not be soon.

Hi Lilybiri,
Thanks, I will wait for your response.
PS - using the multi state button in my project was inspired after
attending your webinar last week!

I didn't deliver any webinar, maybe you are pointing to Pooja's webinar, where I helped to answer questions?
Sorry, I am on the road, only back home tomorrow evening. My apologies, see that no one else has popped in yet.

Yes, you're right...I got my MVPs mixed up! : )
And yes - I understand that you're traveling....
I look forward to your thoughts when you're not away.
Thx,
Denise

Hi Lilybiri,
I wanted to let you know that I was able to do resolve my issue.
I have 5 multi-state buttons and wanted to stop the audio on the one
running when another one is selected. What I did was at the end of each
button, I added a state that says to "Pause" the audio.
Then on the action script to launch the newly selected button - I had one
line to Change state > Points to the Paused State.
Thanks for your assistance!

I was planning something similar, but I don't think you need to pause the audio, just create a state without audio. If you switch to that state the audio will stop. No need for the Pause.

Thanks - I was wondering about that.
I will mark this as answered a bit later...running into a meeting now.
Thanks : )
