PDF Copy quality

Hi all,

I need to see a sample of a pdf page that is converted to a JPG or a PNG file in order to reuse it in another application with a high resolution. Can anyone show me a sample of such a process?

Another question is about captivate and reader... Is there a way of importing pages from PDF file directly as slides in Captivate?

    Not directly as a slide, however, you can open a PDF as a web object on a slide and users will be able to scroll through the PDF document as they wish. You should note that different browsers will give users slightly different interfaces since browsers each handle PDF files slightly differently from one another. Here is a video where in part of the video I demonstrate how embedding a PDF using a web object. I've set the link to start at the appropriate moment.

    This question has been posted 3 times, twice in Captivate forum, once in the Adobe Reader forum.

    Bit difficult to follow up for all those who answer. Here is the thread with most answers:

    PDF and Captivate

    OP doesn't want to use a pdf but wants to convert 600 pdf pages into images that should be used on slides in a reponsive Captivate project.

    IMO this need much more reflection before starting such a project:

    1. Acrobat allows to convert a pdf page to a bitmap image, not to a SVG which is a vector based image and would be a much better choice.
    2. Why use a responsive project, since those images will only be rescaled when the screen resolution changes, whether you use Fluid Boxes or Breakpoint work flow. A normal project, published as Rescalable HTML5 would be a better choice.
    3. Since we still do not know the content of those pdf-pages, how will this be a user friendly solution for a eLearning course that can be viewed on desktop, tablet and phone with resolutions between over 1000 px  (maybe 2000px) in the widt to 320px for phone browsers? My college history tells me that this will not be very efficient.

      I need to create a mobile app that contains tables and specific Arabic script. I have already created my tables using Microsoft Excel then converted it as a pdf file in hope of importing it to Captivate. I really don't care about how it would look on computers or laptops. I care more about tablets and mobile phones. If there is any idea of how to go around this issue, i would really appreciate it.

      First question is not Captivate related, correct?

      You cannot import pdf pages to Captivate, but you can open a pdf with the command 'Open file'. The pdf can be included in the output folder.
