Playbar Forward/Backward Slide Limitation

Explorer ,
Feb 05, 2016 Feb 05, 2016

Is there a way to tell the forward/back buttons on the playbar to skip certain slides in a presentation?  Perhaps telling them to only move between the slides that are listed in the TOC, rather than every slide in the filmstrip?  I'm using Captivate 9.

Thank you,

Jeff

Maybe if you find a programmer? Default playbar is just like the control panel on a video player, no intelligence. Moreover user can scrub the progress bar to get anywhere in the file.

To have control, use custom navigation buttons, that way you can prevent and allow what you want. Playbars are only OK for simple linear projects. I almost never will use them.

Thank you for your response!  Actually I have created a custom Flash playbar, and found ways to show the progress bar yet not allow users to click on it (by disabling the actionscript) and now I can see that the functionality I'm looking for regaurding my problem above is something that I will need to program myself.  It does seem like it would be a great feature though to be able to limit the slide advance to only the slides listed in the TOC!
