Populate cpQuizInfoStudentName with no LMS

With no LMS involved, how do I get cpQuizInfoStudentName populated? If I put in a short answer survey question to collect the student name, how do I get the contents of the answer to use later? I need the quiz to make another widget work so I thought I would use one quiz question and collect the name. Thank you. Cp7/PC

Why not use a Text Entry Box to ask for the name. Be sure to associate cpQuizInfoStudentName to that TEB instead of the generic variable created by Captivate (that has the same name as the TEB). You can do that, using the X button next to the field with the Variable name.
