I have no idea what happened there

Anyway Hi all,

I am tasked with getting file sizes down on our captivate slides when using powerpoint to Cp 8 importer. The files stay very large no matter what we do in the publish settings.

Is there any other way to fix compression issues?

Cheers

Luke

You could try what I call "The Camtasia Approach" and presenting the PowerPoint and recording it using Captivate.

I'm not sure if it would reduce file size, but it's worth a try.

Thanks MVP, but that won't give me the hyperlinks I need for a user to jump around in the elearning.

Can you expound on that a bit? What do you have hyperlinked to what? I just tested importing a PPT with a hyperlink from a shape to a different slide and it didn't survive the trip into CaptivateLand.

From what you are saying, you seem to be seeing a different result.

Cheers... Rick

If you import the powerpoint into captivate and turn on High fidelity and delete the click box on every slide you will get the hyperlinks.

If you REALLY want to get the file sizes down, DON'T use PPT as your starting point.  Just build everything from the start in Captivate.
