Pre-test in between topics

Guest

I am creating a training material, and I want to have a pre-test every end of a topic.

I was able to create my 1st pre-test for Topic 1. But when I am creating the 2nd pre-test for Topic 2, the 2nd pre-test slide is getting created after the 1st pre-test.

Is there a way that  I can separate it? Even if I drag it after my intended slide, it still goes back to the slide after the 1st pre-test.

Built-in Pretest has very strict rules (which make it limited IMO): all Pretest slides have to be in sequence at the beginning of the course, all navigation will be prevented, not retake nor review possible.

This explains why your Pretest slides are being put all at the beginning of your course.

Either you have to split up your course in multiple files, each time with Pretest slides at the beginning, or you have to use normal question slides (you can put the score at 0), or you have to create custom question slides.

I have tried to add a normal question slides and it works as expected. I just have to set the score to 0 so it won't be added to the total scores at the end.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Do you have normal question slides as well? Be careful, some quizzing system variables will still take into account the not-scored questions. The score and percentage will be OK, but the total number of slides not. You'll see that if you use the default score slide. More information about the system quizzing variables:
