Event though in the Captivate settings i have set it up;
If fail, return to slide 1 after 3 attempts.
The presentation simply goes back to the same page every time. Its like an infinate loop. just wondered if anyone else has come accross this?
many thanks!

When you mess up with embedded objects on question/score slides you can expect big problems. Apparently you were not aware of the fact that the Continue button is the one that really triggers the actions. Embedded means that you don't see an individual timeline for those objects as is the case with the Continue button. If you delete it, you are screwing up the functionality of the Score slide. Hello Lilybiri,
Version - Captivate 8
In order to test i place link within Oracle Learning which then call up the location to play it.
The issue is that as i am testing i.e. getting the test wrong, intentionally, on the third time it does not return to slide 1. It simply does nothing, which leaves the system in a loop.
Hope that helps explain the issue?

Did you keep the Continue button on the Score slide? It is that button that is launching either the Success or the Failure action that you specify in the Quiz Preferences.

Ah-I will check. I dont believe it is. The only option they actually get is to 'press the home button' which essentially exits them from the e-learning.
I think i know what you might suggest! putting in a navigation button?

Thanks Lilybiri,
Put the additional buttons in and it has worked! The package is now allowing me to play the course through to the end and allows me to navigate to the beginning slide 1. Or go to reply the quiz, or exit.
Thank you again.
