Problem using Fluid box

So whenever I insert a shape or button on a blank slide, it inserts properly, However whenever I have my slide divided into fluid boxes and try to move my shape or buttons around, they immediately take the shape and size of the fluid box.

How do I move my shape, icons, and buttons freely even with fluid boxes?

May I please ask, how long have you been using Captivate?

Have you done any reading in the Help files, watched any tutorials about Fluid Boxes and how they work?

Just about a week and none of the videos on fluid boxes address this.

Agree with Rod. You are not understanding how Fluid Boxes need to be used. They are containers, whose position on the slide is adapted to all the screen resolutions. That is the reason why objects IN a fluid box need to be locked to it and their location is defined by the Fluid Box setup.

If you really need to move an object to another fluid box, you need to unlock it first, then lock it again when you have moved it.
