Hi,
Yes this one again I am afraid!
I have searched the community forums and I am aware this one has been asked on numerous occasions but I am yet to find one with a suitable resolution. As per the previous requests, the timeline does not match the preview and having checked the forums I am aware that the preview is inaccurate in displaying the correct timings however, I have followed the advice and published my project. The problem with that is that the timing of the finished article matches neither the timeline or the preview and I cannot work out why.
Specifically, I have set out a series of pictures and lines of text to appear at different times. In short, they don't. On each slide, be it a picture or text, the first object appears on cue but then that is it. The remaining text doesn't appear and if using pictures, the first one appears but where it is supposed to disappear and be replaced by a different picture, nothing. I am stuck with the original picture.
I have also ensured that the filtering is correct on the time line so the picture I want to disappear is at the button followed by each of the rest in turn but again, no change.
At a complete loss at the moment.
Regards

Understanding the timeline is one of the most important skills to acquire in Captivate. For that reason I published recently several articles explaining the timeline. This last one is probably what you need to read:
Pausing Captivate's Timeline - Captivate blog
My suspicion is that you have a pausing point of an interactive object (button) left at its default timing of 1.5sec, and this prevents later scheduled objects on the timeline to appear. If you post a screenshot of the timeline, I could explain from that screenshot.
Common misunderstanding due to a flaw in the UI which puts 'Play Slide' under the Preview button, which shouldn't be because Play Slide is NOT a preview method (also mentioned in the blog posts). If you have a normal project, and want HTML output, the only Preview method close to final output is F11 - Preview HTML in Browser.

I had similar problem, and removing the default pause for two buttons solved it!
