Properties Inspector not visible

I'm using Captivate 9 in Windows 10 and I don't seem to be able to edit a text caption or text entry box that I've added to a slide. Shouldn't the Properties Inspector appear when I click on the caption or box? I don't see it. Thanks for your help.

It should, but I  never use the Newbie UI, do not want that CP controls what I see.  Can you check if the Properties panel appears under the Window menu? If yes, you can activate it there.

Stupid newbie UI. Can you reset Classic (look under the dropdown list that starts with Classic, top right of the window).
