Properties Options & Advanced Answers in Captivate 9?

Explorer ,
Dec 17, 2015 Dec 17, 2015

The Advanced Answers option in Captivate 8 was indispensable for me (as discussed here). Now in 9 I'm not seeing the Options menu in MCQ answer object properties at all, let alone the functions that were previously within it. No mention of any of this in the new documentation... anyone know where this function might have gone to? I could provide custom feedback with advanced actions etc, but time is money and that panel saved a lot of it. Help please!

Okay - it looks like an issue in 8 as well. So, to summarize: the property options menu is not available, and therefore advanced answers may not be used, for quiz answers within question pools in responsive projects. In addition, the options menu is available, but advanced answers are NOT available, for question pools in any project type.

Also- thank you for checking, Lieve. Unless you're not having this issue in these scenarios, I'll kick this one over to the Adobe team.

It is still in the same location as for Captivate 8. Maybe you have checked Multiple answers, because you only have Advanced Answer option for one correct answer, that has always been the case.

Interesting... here's what I'm seeing there

I am working in a question pool, and this only seems to be an issue on my end when working with question pools. I didn't test the two together in 8, so maybe this isn't lost functionality after all. Do you have any experience using the two together?

Edit: I tried to duplicate the issue on a separate install and couldn't - although if I open my project on the other computer it's still an issue. Maybe I have a busted install?

I wasn't able to fix it with a reinstall - but it looks like it's only happening on responsive projects with question pools. Gonna test that specifically in 8 and on my other computer.

Sorry, was away for a while, just read your messages. You didn't tell this was a question pool. AFAIK advanced answers was never an option for questions in a pool.

No problem - it does look like that's the case. I must have just never noticed before. Too bad though! It would be very useful. Maybe in Cp10...
