Hello!
Not sure what I did wrong, but after adding customized navigation buttons, I got the Publish Failed message when I tried to preview the course...
I am using Captivate 8.
Not sure what additional information I should provide to help you help me : )
I cleared the Cache, nothing.
I removed the navigation buttons, nothing.
I also checked the action on Enter and Exit, nothing...
I have a feeling it has something to do with those buttons, since they're the only thing I have changed/added.
Many thanks,
Julie

Do you have special characters in button names? That might be causing the issue.

No. All my buttons are name like Pause_RED_Button .... So no special character. And it was working fine before...
Slide 1 and slide 2 are problematic. Slide 3 and so on are good. I can preview using Adobe Edge, Next 5 slide and From this slide. The only button I have on slide 1 is a Start button that jumps to slide 3 ( Slide 2 is the navigation help instructions that I don't want to be seen by everyone) and on slide 2 (the navigation help instructions) it goes back to the previous screen visited.
It was working fine before I added the customized buttons... However, when I remove the buttons (either from slides 1 and 2, or all of them), I still can't preview those slides...

This is a strange issue. Can you explain your work flow in detail? I remember you asking about this. How is it looking when you use Preview in Browser and Preview HTML in Browser?

Hello Lilybiri!
I got it to work... Not too sure what I did. But I believe I did the following that caused the issue :
Instead of adding a Button, I just inserted the .png image of the button I wanted to add. On my navigation bar, I had 2 working buttons with 3 images of buttons.
And I verified each button's active/inactive state. That's when I noticed that I had an "invisible" button. I removed it.
I removed everything, started over and now it's working. But it's a long process to figure out what's wrong.
Hopefully, I got the right answer and if it happens again, I'll know where to look first ; )

Did you use shape buttons? You see the rollover state even in edit mode.

No, I clicked the Interactions menu and selected Buttons and replaced button with Image button.

OK, but I really recommend using shape buttons (you can fill them with any image as well) because you can time them for the rest of the project, or put them on the master slide. That avoids to copy/paste a lot of buttons to each slide.
