I would like to know if anyone can help me with the published output files for Captivate videos.
We use Captivate 8.0.3 and publish our files as SWF and HTML5 using SCORM 1.2
We have recently noticed issues with Mozilla Firefox blocking "mixed content" when Learners view our videos in the most recent versions of the FF browser (v51+).
The LMS is cloud based - and we have an SSL certificate for the portal, so it is secure and the url reads https.
But the videos open in a second window, but the url reads http. So FF sees it as not secure.
Even when we "disable security" in the broswer, the videos will not play.
When the videos do play, if a Learner gets that lucky, the completion info is blocked from returning to the LMS and the Learner does not receive credit for viewing.
The LMS company asked us to look into changing the output, but Captivate support has told us that they do not control that url in the pop-up window that plays the video. The LMS company said it is coming from the SCORM package.
I cannot get anywhere, and need help if anyone has experienced this and has a suggestion.
Thank you!

How are you opening a popup window?

The LMS automatically opens the video in a second window, we do not have control over that. So I suspect it is the LMS's responsibility, but wanted any help if anyone had any experience with this.
Thank you!

If these video popups are external to Captivate then you have to have run an action to open them?
If the video popups live on the same server they should have the same protocol.
Perhaps you should explain in detail how these videos are related to Captivate and how exactly do they get opened.

How are you inserting the videos into your content? If you’re linking out to videos that exist somewhere else on the web, are they also using an HTTPS address? If not, then this is where the issue lies.
