Publishing issues with HTML5 in Captivate 2017

Community Beginner ,
Nov 28, 2017 Nov 28, 2017

I have a responsive project that I am trying to publish to HTML5. Everything works great when I view this from any browswer (IE, Firefox or Chrome). However, when others are trying to access the same project, they are getting a blank white screen. Am I missing an option?

Regards,

Dave

Sorry to tell you that it will not work standalone at all. You have to upload it to a LMS or a webserver and give the URL to the learners. It is possible that it works locally on your system (doesn't always) but from dropbox I doubt very much you'll get it to work. I upload to my domain. There are also possiblities to upload for free to Amazon etc...

How do they 'access'? Is the course uploaded to a LMS or a webserver?

Thanks for the quick response, Lilybiri. This final HTML5 project is intended to be a standalone(local) object that sits directly on the student PCs. So, I tested it from my local PC, and also tested it from a location on a Dropbox folder.

I understand. Thanks for your help, Lilybiri. I just thought it odd that I could do everything perfectly locally and through dropbox... yet, others could not (shrug). At least I know what I need to do. Thanks much!
