I am in a blank project Captivate 2017.
As shown in the image below the button caption text 'clear' and 'submit' are ranged to the left and I cannot find an option to change this in the properties (screen shot below) to centre the text.
The Master View looks fine and the caption text is centred as shown here...

Try this: Grab the 'handle' at the right hand end of the bounding box for each button and drag the handle sideways just a tad.
Does that make the text pop back into the middle?

Hi Rod,
No this doesn't work unfortunately.
Any other suggestions?
Thank you kindly

Select the slide in the Filmstrip view and then In the Properties tab click the button to Reset Master Slide.
If that doesn't that fix it, select each button in turn and in the Properties tab > Style Name area, look for the little (well hidden) drop-down menu and see if you have the ability to click the Reset Style option.

Thank you for your reply Rod. I have tried all your suggestions with no resolve. All I can do is insert some spaces before 'clear' and 'submit' in the properties.

I think Lilybiri suspects your issue may be due to your Theme.
To test this assumption, take a Save As copy of your current course module and change to a different default Captivate theme to see if that resolves the issue. Don't worry about the colour scheme. All you are wanting to see is whether or not all themes show this same alignment issue or if the default themes seem to be fine and it's just YOUR theme that has the problem.

Indeed, because that problem existed in an older version in some themes.

The theme I used is just 'white'.

OK. Then try this:
Back up your custom Theme to a location on your hard drive somewhere.
Close down Captivate.
Go to C:\Users\Public\Documents\Adobe\eLearning Assets\ find the folder called Layouts and delete it.
Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 2017 x64\utils and double-click the file called CleanPreferencesWin.bat
Reboot your computer and restart Captivate, then change the theme again to one of the Captivate defaults.
If the CPTX still shows the same issue after all this I would have to assume your current project is corrupted.
Then you should try opening a new Blank project of the same height and width as the old one, and try copying your slides over into that new project to see if copying and pasting the slides can strip out the corruption.
If that doesn't work, I'm out of ideas. I wish you well.

Hi Rod,
I have completed all you steps to rectify the issue, however, it appears that my project must be corrupted.
I will copy and past all to a new blank document.
Thank you for your time and help.
Regards,
Nicole
