Quiz functionality in Captivate......not intuitive, need assistance

New Here ,

I'm struggling to make a basic quiz in Captivate 9. Ive read the "creating quizzes with Adobe Captivate" step by step guide, but I don't seem to be getting the same options. Really need to understand how to set feedback based on the quiz participants response. Provide different response based on what was selected, correct or incorrect. If someone could provide assistance, it would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

That is a very vague question. Which version are you using? Can you offer more details?

I think you are talking about intrinsic feedback?

Click on one of the responses in the quiz, make sure you have a properties/options tab on the right. Then select the options shown in the image. Additional feedback captions will then be added to the stage.

TLCMediaDesign offers you a way to set feedback for each given answer. You have to know that this is limited to MCQ type of questions, with only one correct answer. It is not possible for other question types. If you want customized feedback for other types, you need to tweak the question slides. There are some tweaking possibilities described in this blog post, but it was not written for Captivate 9 which has some enhancements to quiz slides.

Thank you for the responses Lilybiri and TLCMediaDesign!

You were both correct, I was looking for intrinsic feedback on multiple choice questions. I wanted customized feedback on the correct option, and on the other values to help the quiz participant. I was struggling yesterday (I have no formal training on Captivate)  to not only to select the correct answer, but add the customized feedback.

TLCMediaDesign, when selecting a quiz properties, I have different properties/options then yourself. How do I add the additional options?

I don't have CP9 at this moment, but click on the Options tab that is the screen shot you supplied. Then when you click on each of the responses you should get the options for the feedback.

Oh perfect, this is what I wanted to see. Thanks for your help! Much appreciated. Ill read Lilybiri notes on how to create custom messages for each option, but at least I have a better understanding of how this works. Thanks again!
