I'm using Captivate 9.0.2.24 and I have a quiz that the user must pass to continue. I have it set to go to a certain slide if the user fails 3 times, however, it never goes to that slide if the user fails. Also on the Quiz results message, is there a way to make an active link work (like email link) so that the user should they need to email support for a resetting of the quiz? I have the link as an html mail to link, which it shows as an active link but nothing happens when you click on it. I have the pass and fail messages checked on the Quiz results message. The fail message does appear when the quiz is failed, just not the slide its set to go to after the 3rd fail. Is there any way to make the 3rd fail go to the slide it's set to go to or make the link in the results message actually work?
Set Required to Optional, have the Sorry slide AFTER the Quiz Result slide with Failing Grade action set to jump to that slide and see if it works.
Forget about what the description says for the Optional setting. If you have set the course so that it will only be marked as Complete or Passed in the LMS when the learner achieves a passing score then if the learner DOES try to skip the quiz they won't get any benefit from that anyway.
Will you please just TEST the setup I have recommended here and

Firstly, you need to update your Captivate version. You should be on 9.0.2.437. That's the latest version for Cp9.
Secondly, the Quiz action set to be executed for If Failing Grade will only be executed AFTER the user passes beyond the Quiz Result slide, not before. So whatever slide you want the user to jump to should be positioned AFTER the Quiz Result slide.
You cannot add a hyperlink in the default Quiz Result message. But you could turn off the default messages and set up a Smart Shape on the Results slide that contains a hyperlink. Alternatively, you could add a Smart Shape button to the Quiz Result slide which executes a Send Email To action.
But to be honest, there is no real benefit in trying to use that particular action in Captivate. It's basically just a mailto: link but that is only likely to work on certain email clients, and would fail to open a new email in any other situation. It doesn't automatically send an email anyway. The user still has to complete the email and send it. You would be better off setting up a HELP web page that allowed the user to contact your Support people and just have the button open that web page in a separate browser window.

Updated Captivate.
So I moved the Sorry slide after the quiz results and it still does not go there after 3 failures. However, I wouldn't believe if a quiz is set to only continue after 100% success would move forward. Unsure why it would be an option if it doesn't work to begin with, it would be great to have it work. Any more suggestions for it?

Sounds like you have something wrong with your quizzing setup. Can you show us screenshots of the Quiz Settings from the project under Quiz Reporting, Quiz Settings and Quiz Pass or Fail screens?

I have the Sorry slide before what is labeled Evaluation slide. I have verified that passing goes to the correct slide.

Under Quiz > Settings > Required, change the setting to Optional. Your current setting is preventing the module from advancing beyond the Quiz Result slide because the user must pass the quiz to continue.

I need for them to pass it though, optional would mean they could bypass it, correct?

Optional is not really a good name for that particular setting.
You still require the learner to do the quiz because there's really no way for them to achieve a passing result or complete the module UNLESS they do the quiz and get a passing score.
But by using the setting you currently have, you've prevented the learner from getting to any slide BEYOND the Quiz Results slide unless they pass. And the problem you are complaining about is that the On Failing Grade action is not working. That action will ONLY fire as the learner passes beyond the last frame of the Quiz Result slide. So it's NEVER going to be used to trigger an action on failing grade as you currently have it set up.

So you're saying have it optional, even though Adobe has it as user can skip the quiz, in order to have a sorry slide for a mandatory test work? In Presenter when we had a Sorry slide before quiz questions it would go to that slide. However, in Captivate it does not work.
