Quiz progression to next slide after incorrect answer - Cp9

Community Beginner ,

Hi just transitioned Cp8 to Cp9, imported an existing module created in Cp8. Experiencing an error in action/behavior on a quiz question slide. When the incorrect answer is submitted, the failure caption presents (this is good, same as before); however, the "click anywhere to continue" behavior does not go to the next slide. Instead, the same quiz question slide remains and all feedback captions are removed. The Submit button remains. Tested and when the correct answer is submitted all progresses properly.

Please help. This didn't happen in Cp8. Can't seem to find anywhere in properties that an adjustment needs to be made.

Thank you kindly.

Terri

There are some changes in quizzes. Are you on the latest version: 9.0.1.320?

Can you try to recreate a question from scratch with same settings, to check if it is due to upgrading?

How many attempts do you allow on question level? What is the action 'After Last Attempt'?

Thank you Lilybiri!

I verified that I have the latest version: 9.0.1.320

Haven't tried creating a new question...will try that. Hope it is not necessary as it defeats my time-saving purpose of pulling in the existing project:-(

I have it set to unlimited attempts (as before) but that never prevented progression to the next slide after answering. I'll try changing it, but still want to have the go-to-next-slide functionality happen right when set to infinite attempts. With infinite attempts marked, no option is provided to proceed once an answer is submitted.

Infinite attempts always meant that the user can only continue when answer

is correct. Nothing changed in that design.

Ahhh...somehow that realization blew over my mind. So it makes better sense if using "infinite attempts" to apply a try again hint rather than incorrect feedback. Thanks again. Will flag your answer as correct since it led me to the correct adjustment.

Yes, this has always been the case. Not new at all.

Great news! Changing to 1 attempt and indicating go to next slide corrected the behavior. Still unclear about the ability to progress with infinite attempts set after correct answer feedback vs. incorrect answer feedback...
