Hi All,
My IT people are getting me new Computer with Captivate 8 installed.
On this new computer, I will also have VM Player. Software Application will be run on VM Player.
My question is will I be able to record Software Simulation of Application which runs through VM Player???
Any insight on this topic will help me greatly.
Thank you.
It depends on the type of license, normally just deactivating the Captivate version will be sufficient, has to be done before uninstalling.
I have Captivate (one license) on different devices, I have to deactivate a lot when I switch to another system or device.

I have been doing that, after installing Captivate in the VM as well....

Thanks for your response.
So does that mean I also have to install Captivate in the VM Player environment???
Also, will there be a licensing issue if you install Captivate twice (once in your computer and then in your VM Player (which is still the same computer)?
Appreciate your help.

I had two installments in that case. The VM is totally separated from the rest of your system. You can install Captivate twice with same license, not use them at the same moment which will be the case.

Hello Lilybiri,
Final Request:
I will have multiple VM Player on the Same computer, each VM Player holds One Application.
I will have 1st Application on 1st VM Players. So according to your answer, I will be able to install Captivate and run that simulation on 1st VM Player.
I understood your answer that only one captivate license will be used at a time and thank you for your clear explanation.
Now here is another question:
If I have 2nd Application on 2nd VM Player. Can I delete the 1st VM Player with Captivate (described above) and install 2nd VM Player with re-install Captivate with license???
What I am saying is that for each different Application, I might have to re-install VM Player and then re-install Captivate on that VM Player, would that be possible?
I know my inquiry is getting a bit complicated, please let me know if you have any idea.
You have already helped me a lot. Once again, thank you for your response.

Appreciate your patience with my successive questioning.
I will keep in mind about Deactivate Captivate License before installing it on different VM Player.
Thank you very much for your help.
