Hi Community,
I am in the storyboarding process to develop an eLearning course. One thing that I would like to do, is including branching based on the learners roles. For example, content is presented, then the learner has to identify if they are a supervisor/manager or an employee using click buttons. Based on their response they will see either a scenario drafted for supervisors/managers or employees. I would then need some reporting that supervisors/managers actually completed the supervisor manager track. I have the ability to upload this into an LMS, I am attempting to avoid creating two training courses when the content is essentially the same but the scenarios are different.
Is this possible and if so, what are the steps needed?
Thank you for the help!

Yes, it is possible, but are you new to Captivate?
You will need to create custom navigation based on the choice made (which will probably be stored in a user variable). You cannot use a default playbar in this case. Some information is lacking in your question: do you have scores in this project, when uploaded to a LMS, do you want to create a SCO? In that case you'll need to turn on Branch aware. A use case with branch aware, totally different subject (different languages) and branching to different parts of the course is described in my blog post:
Branch Aware Quiz - Captivate blog
If you are new to Captivate, to variables, to advanced actions, maybe it would be easier to create three files: a main file for the choice, and two different files with the two scenarios which you open from that main file.
