Is there a way to change/eliminate the thick blue line around the rollover area on a rollover slidelet?

Uncheck the option "Show Runtime Border" in the properties panel of the Rollover slidelet

Which version are you using? Show Border is showing it during editing, but you showed a screenshot of a published version, that is why I recommended turning off Border on Runtime. Did you select the rollover area?

I do not have the Show Runtime Border option and Show Border is already unchecked.
