Scaling a smart-shape line.

I use a thin line as a breaker bar across the top to separate the slide title from content.  It's a smart shape line located on the Master.  It won't scale in a responsive project no matter how I fiddle with the various position controls.  Can anyone help?

Can I see the Position Properties of the line? It is a weird shape, has a lot of limitations (you cannot rotate it neither). If I need more control, I replace it by a rectangle with a very small height, maybe you'll have more success trying that as well?

Are you using CP2017? Fluid boxes do not support the line object.

Object Position [Absolute]

Top = 13.7%     Left [grayed out]

Bottom [grayed out]   Right [grayed out]

Object Size:

height = blank    Width = 82.4%

Note: in the properties panel the width is 3, but that value doesn't show up in the position panel.

Also, in the properties panel I see a check box titled unlock from fluid box.  It is not checked.

In fact, I am not using fluid boxes.

Since you tell that you don't use Fluid boxes, did you switch to Breakpoint mode in the Project menu? I am asking this because of

"... I see a check box titled unlock from fluid box"

I did not switch to Breakpoint mode.  Not sure what that's supposed to do.  However, I just now tried the Breakpoint mode and still no scaling.

I replaced the line smart shape with a very thin rectangle and it does scales as it should - breakpoint mode not engaged.

Seems the line shape has a problem - or am I missing something

I wrote before that the line shape has a lot of limitations, ignore why. That is why I told to replace by a rectangle.

As for switching to Breakpoint mode: you seem to ignore that the themes packed with CP2017 in a responsive project have Fluid Boxes on the master slides. If you really want to avoid FB's, you have to switch to Breakpoint mode. Have a look at my review: Captivate 2017's gems - Captivate blog
