Hi folks
Looking for some advice in regards tosome issues I am having with my Apps
I have developed some e-Learning for a client, who is using another thirdparty LMS Provider to host their content. I have been testing the Apps on SCORM Cloud, and I was having no issues, it all worked as intended.
Once the Apps got sent over to the Thirdparty some issues in terms of its deployment. The LMS runs the content in frameset, rather than a new window, which is was I was testing with, and while in SCORM 2004, setting the play mode to frame set in SCORM Cloud would cause the app to not be able to exit back to the LMS, it just hangs on the goodbye.html page.
We thought we resolved this by going down to SCORM 1.2, but when it was uploaded onto the LMS, there was a massive lag with video and audio files, specifically on iOS but this lag was not present on SCORM Cloud iOS testing.
We have since went back to 2004, and spoke to Rustici themselves about potentally solutions. They suggested some edits to some variables within the SCORM Driver
These were changing the following from false to true
USE_2004_SUSPENDALL_NAVREQ
EXIT_SUSPEND_IF_COMPLETED
As well as changing some compatability settins in SCORM Cloud
Rollup at SCO Unload - on
Invoke Rollup at suspend all - on
But now that causes issues were the app will not send the SCORM data to the LMS.
So right now our isues are we can either have the app reporting, but not closing and goign back to LMS, or closing and going back to LMS but not reporting?
I have spoken to Rustici again, but they seem to have suggested all the can, so just looking to see if anyone here has had any similer issues with Captivate Apps in Frameset on an LMS not closing and not reporting?
Thanks !
Have something to add?
