Hi,
When I try to record full screen, the captions automatically inserted are incorrect. I am clicking Page Setup & Save is being highlighted instead in Demo recording mode.
I have recently started using Captivate & am relying on Captivate 2017:The essentials to learn it.
Thanks in advance.
Moderator: I branched your question to a new thread. You posted it in a 8 year old thread for version 4, while you are using CP2017

Which OS and which screen resolution and display percentage do you use? For recording, whether a Video Demo or a Software simulation you need to set the display resolution to 100%. On modern screens with high ppi, the percentage is often set to a value above 100% for readability reasons.
Can you explain in detail what you mean by this sentence, maybe insert screenshot(s)

I am using Windows 10. The resolution is 1920 x 1080. Display percentage is 150%. I will set it to 100% & try again.
I meant by the last sentence that the mouse movement shown in the recording is way off than the actual mouse position.
Thanks a lot for your help.

Hi there
The thread I saw initially with this post seemed to suggest that the recording process wasn't recognizing and inserting the proper term on captions. I also believe the OP said it was happening when recording in the browser.
First, it's been my own experience that Captivate has problems with the browser. And really, there isn't much you can do about it. All of it relies on the coding the application developer used to create what is being presented.
The good news is that you are free to change what it tried to recognize as well as add your own captions where you want to see them.
Cheers... Rick

Thanks Rick. I am recording the full screen now & finding it easier. Will change the captions too.
