Sending a published Captivate file--how?

Explorer ,
Apr 26, 2017 Apr 26, 2017

Hi, everyone,

Soon I will be finishing a simple project I designed using Captivate. It is for a local nonprofit organization to put on their website. Their website is hosted by a local company, and all FTP information is confidential. In other words, I would need to send my published files to whoever would upload them via FTP. I have a limited Captivate experience and limited tech experience. What is the best way to send a captivate file ready for FTP? Dropbox?

Thanks,

Kristin

Hi there

You might just zip the entire folder where the output was created, then transfer the zip.

DropBox is certainly one way. Other ways include other Web/Cloud services such as WeTransfer.com or you might even copy it to a flash drive or burn to DVD and provide to the recipient.

Cheers... Rick

Hi, Rick,

Thanks for your response.

So if I understand correctly, you are suggesting that I could compress the folder into a zip file and perhaps email it to the recipient? Is that what you mean by "transfer the zip"?

I suppose I could also ask the local company what works best for them or what they prefer and go from there, too. I never thought about putting it on a DVD or a flash drive.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Kristin
