I recorded a simulation of an app on an iPhone 6 (using Vysor) which i would like integrate as part of my responsive course in Captivate 9. My course and simulation will be viewed on the desktop and on a mobile device. However, when I view my Captivate project on the desktop the aspect ratio of the mobile simulation is too stretched horizontally.
Is there a way to fix my simulation in desktop view so that it doesn't appear stretched?
Or should I record two separate mobile device simulations (one simulation for desktop rendition, one for mobile rendition)"?
Or
Is there another solution.
A simulation is either a video demo or else it's a series of screenshots.
Either way, unless you keep the same aspect ratio as it's original capture size, it's going to look stretched.
Trying to add simulation content into a Responsive project is going to be a no-win situation because unless you leave the aspect ratio of the sim content unchanged it won't look good, and that's simply going to be impossible across all breakpoints and orientations.
I'd recommend you forget about using Responsive and

I'd recommend you forget about using Responsive and just go with a standard CPTX project that preserves the aspect ration unchanged. You'll still get some loss of resolution if you scale the content up or down, but it shouldn't look stretched.

HI Rod:
I didn't mess with the aspect ratio. It seems to have misadjusted itself.
Should I record one simulation for the desktop breakpoint and another for the mobile device?

If the app you're simulating is on an iPhone, why record a different one for the desktop? Even if the learner is viewing the simulation on a desktop monitor, it's still going to need to LOOK like it's the screen of an iPhone that they are manipulating.
