HI Folks,
At the end of an e-learning course that I created in captivate 2019, I have a page for additional Resources that have URL's attached to each selection. The links work fine.
The problem is that have clicking 3 links the page advances.
The page should not advance until the student Clicks the Next button. The page is set to No Action on both Entrance and Exit.
The page is from the alliance pack. I've also tried creating it the page from a blank page and got the same result.
How can I prevent the page advancing until the user clicks the Next button?
I've attached 3 screen shots to show the settings for the page, 1 of the links and the Next button.
Thanks,
IDOLproff
I know that slide, but you did change a lot: you have converted the shapes to buttons which open an URL, you have staggered the buttons on the timeline etc... you have to understand what you are doing on the Timeline.
Main problem is that you have left 'Continue Playing the project' activated for the hyperlinks, probably due to the staggering. That means that the playhead is released whenever you click one of the shape buttons.

The slide event On Enter has nothing to do with what happens on the slide, I don't understand why you mention that event. The On Exit event has no meaning whatsoever as is often the case on slides with interactive buttons.
Uncheck the option 'Continue Playing the project for all hyperlinks. You don't even need all those pausing points in that case, just keep it for the Next button.
When you have time read at least one of my many articles about the Timeline;
