Slide duration changes when pasting buttons on new slide.

When I copy and paste buttons from one slide to another, the timeline for the slide is extended to an amount greater than the copied buttons and greater than the original slide. Any ideas about why this would happen or about what I could do to make the buttons adopt the existing slide length?

The buttons timings are set to:

-display for rest of slide

-no pause

Thanks in advance!

This is not at all a normal behavior. Can you post some screenshots and explain your work flow in detail?

Upon further investigation, it only extends the slide duration if the duration is less than 11.5 seconds. I think this may be an issue with slide transitions in the presentation I'm using (although smartobjects acting as buttons don't seem to cause problems).

Is there a minimum button duration, or something like that?

No minimum duration AFAIK. You don't have a pause on them as you said.
