Hi! I have a big problem in Adobe Captivate.
I am a technical editor in a company and I am responsible for utility films/instruction films. I use Captivate to create HTML files with various films in them, in which the users can watch these films in order to do their work properly. The HTML slide show starts, there is a menu in which you can choose e.g. "Assembly", "Disassembly", "Spare Parts", "Contact". Behind every of this items is a film. And I want to jump to this menu from every slide of the project ("home button").
Unfortunately Captivate has many issues and bugs, but for most of them I found a workaround (e.g. the replay of a video slide by using a script or inserting an empty variable for the correct display of a font). But there is one issue which I cannot solve:
A slide video keeps running in the background even when you navigate away from the slide! This makes the menu structure impossible. What happens is: If you navigate away from a playing movie slide (for example with a back button or "home button" smart shape) the movie of this slide keeps playing as an overlay on another slide!
I tried to do some workaround by placing a 1x1 pixel, 0.1 sec video on the slides where I want to jump, which works (obviously this 1x1 video replaces the overlay)...
BUT: if you jump to another video in the HTML from my menu or the TOC, this bug happens again and there are two visible videos on one slide (the one still running from the background + the slide video from this slide inserted at the bottom edge of the false video).... Even though there were several slides with the 1x1 video dummy video in the meantime.
I tried everything to solve it, using scripts (e.g. "Pause", then "Go to slide" - but this just causes a paused overlay...), tried using the TOC (same bug).
I use Captivate 9 but the same thing happens in 2017 (I had the trial version).
Is there ANY way or idea how I can fix this?

Event video or synchronized video?

It is a synchronized video, as every video is divided in several steps (with a "Next" button at the end of each slide) over various slides.

Synchronized video can be controlled by the Pause command and other commands in Captivate.

I was obviously wrong with the Captivate 2017 assumption... I updated my Captivate 9 to Version 9.0.2. and the bug was fixed in this Version. Thank you.
