Small group not using LMS. What are the options?

Hello Everyone: I am using Captivate 8, and I am considering a move to 9. BUT I need some help.

I have a programming background, but, have not been involved in an LMS or eLearning for that matter.

I see that I can report my results from a quiz to a local server if I am using the quiz in house.

I would like to:

  1. post the quiz online,
  2. require users to register,
  3. Maintain a record of the users progress

So far I have 6 learners. I'm not sure if I should invest the time in an LMS.

Is there something I can do myself to maintain the data?

Thanks for all your help.

PS> This is my first time in this community. I hope I have placed this in the correct area.

It's been a while, but I think the internal server option is using php to push the data to a server.

You need to create a database and interact with php to do what you want.

You can also send an email via php, which is sent behind the scenes.
