Smart Shape Defaults Question

Guest
Dec 13, 2016 Dec 13, 2016

I just pressed the button at the top of the screen and drew a rectangular smart shape on my screen.

It's blue with a thin black stroke.

I'd like to change that so that when I ask for a smart shape again I get:

Green solid background, Times New Roman 25pt and no stroke.

How can I do that?

Will this be stored in my current Captivate project?

Should I do this in my master slide?

Where do I save my master slide?

Is the master slide part of the theme?

Create an object style with the Object Style Manager and set is as default style.

It will be stored in the project.  If you save the theme (preferably with another name, and you can store the .cptm file anywhere), that style will be part of that theme (as are the master slides), and you'll be able also to use it in future projects.

All changes to the master slides will be stored in the project as well. If you save the theme (cptm file) you can use it in other projects as well. It doesn't matter w

It doesn't matter where you store the cptm files, but you have to be aware if you put them with the default themes in the Layouts folder - Public documents -  that clearing that folder which has to be done when installing a patch/upgrade will delete your custom themes. More about that in:

Maybe you could read something more about themes in this article (it has also links to articles about Theme Colors):
