This problem is still there in Captivate 9 and Captivate 2017.
This is very awful
Kindly, consider this as a bug and fix it at asap.
Also, I want to add one more point, I feel 2017 has some know issues where were fine in C9. Somtimes, captivate behaves very weird.
Thanks in advance!

Could you please be more specific about what audio problem you are seeing here? It's a little unclear.
If there are other (non-audio related) issues with Captivate, please start another thread that deals with those issues. It can get confusing for readers of long threads if the title of the thread is not directly related to the discussion.

I would like to re-take this issue. I have sounds recorded with Adobe Audition. When played out of Captivate (different devices and different headphones), the sounds are cleaned and without issues. However, when importing them into Captivate I have a couple of issues:
1. There is a static noise before, during, and at the end of several sounds (the sounds are individual words). Has Adobe addressed this issue?
2. I tried to replace sounds. First, I imported a sound (for example, paint). Then, I edited the same sound with the same name and same extension (wav), and imported it (to replace the first sound) into Captivate. The previous sound continues to play. The new sound can't be taken by Captivate. In other words, it doesn't replace the existing sound. I also tried to drag and drop the new sound, but Captivate's library doesn't replace the existing sound.
I'll appreciate suggestions and ways to handle these issues.
Sincerely,

What is the specific bitrate of the audio file you are exporting from Audition?
For compatibility with Captivate it should be 16 bit PCM, not 24 bit or 32 bit.
