Hi All,

I have searched and searched but can not find any information on the Start Dictation menu option under the Edit Menu in Captivate 9. I have tried clicking on it to find out about it but I get an error message each time as follows:

Can anyone enlighten me please?

The Mac OS works a little different than Windows in that the drop down menus are a combination of the OS and the software you are running at the time. In other words, it appears in the Edit menu while you are running Adobe Captivate but is not part of the Adobe software.

I do not have that option under Edit, can you post a screenshot of that menu option?

Hello,

This is the screen shot you requested. The project is a responsive project. The option is right at the foot of the menu.

Sorry, cannot help you. This looks like a Mac only option, it is missing on PC, have been screening all menus and never heard about that option on this forum neither. You can only hope that a Mac user pops in, but there are not so many around on these forums.

As @Paul Wilson suggested, you're viewing a Mac OS menu displayed as part of an Adobe Application. (While I'm a Mac user, I'm critical of the OS X User Experience - UX - for this kind of confusion!)

Here are a couple of Apple Support references to consider:
