I just checked my monthly payment history for Captivate on the My Adobe account screen and see that in November the price rose by 33%.
I wasn't notified of this - I checked my email and found nothing. Did anyone else see this?
Hi Marltutski,
Has your local currency recently taken a dive? I'm Canadian so we pay a little more, seems every month. If not I would check with Adobe. The base US price, appears to still be $29.95.
Cheers
Steve

Hi Steve
You may be right. But because mine has always been the same every month, and I am billed directly in UK pounds sterling - i.e I am not paying in USD, I have never seen a change.
If the currency rates were to affect it you would expect my payments to have changed every month by a little too.
BUT - we did have referendum in June (BREXIT) which saw the pound drop through the floor. So maybe this is an adjustment for that. I will have to email support - and see if they can give me an answer. Either way - I think I should have been notified.
regards
Marilyn

Still the best deal in eLearning authoring software out there. Can you imagine if you had to pay for Articulate 360 (over $80 USD per month)?

Hi Marltutski,
Quick question... Is this the anniversary of your subscription?
I'm wondering if you had a discount rate for the first year and then it bumps up to the regular rate for the second. (that actually sounds more like it to me) Any rate, they will be able to tell you for sure!
Cheers

Steve - yes. It is the anniversary - or the bi-anniversary anyway.
My first payment was in November 2014. It's been the same every month for 24 months. I will ask them though as I do not remember it being on a special deal.
I think it must be a combination of an anniversary and the chaos that is Brexit. If I do an xe.com on what you said you're - paying USD $29.95 - it comes to £24 at current rates so £19.05 is still less.

I suspect that the this is due to the much lower rate now for the British
pound, compared with Euro and Dollar.
