Gooday everyone,
I am very new to Captivate. I have The latest version downloaded this year.
When wishing to preview HTML in browser, project loads ( around 60%)
Then FAIL message. How Can I trouble shoot to fin the problem page?
We are grouping text/svg/png and using in a click reveal sequence.
Could that be the problem?
Looking forward to feedback!
Thanks so much Shona

Welcome to the Captivate community!
Did you check the HTML tracker under the Project menu? It is possible that you included items/features which are incompatible with HTML output.
If that is OK, there may be a corrupted slide and/or items. To find them, you can hide slides in Captivate (use right-click menu in the Filmstrip) to find the slide causing the problems. Start by keeping the first slide visible, and gradually add more slides.
Can you check the full version number under Help, About Captivate?
Which Browser is set as your default browser? Avoid IE.
For the click/reveal did you use one of the Ready-to-go slides from the Quick Start projects (Assets panel) or did you design them from scratch?
Final question: is this a responsive or a non-responsive project?

Thanks for the quick feedback.
I am going to test slide by slide.
I have build the click reveal from scratch, its pretty standard, Worked over one from our last project.
There is only 30 pages. It's pretty standard stuff.
I have never had a problem with svg's. This time round we have to use some pngs.
It is a non responsive project - viewers are engaging on a work desktop.
Will advise how we solve.
Thanks again!

I didn't tell that the SVGs are the problem, personally I use a lot of SVGs especially when publishing to a scalable HTML output because it always remains crisp.
You have to know that a SVG needs to be rendered on enter for each slide. That is the reason that a simple Replay Slide button (going to first frame of the slide) will not generate the SVG again. I explained this in a recent workshop (Adobe eLearning World 2021).

Can you please show a screenshot of the Fail message that you see? It might help with diagnosing the issue.
