Text is not showing up (randomly) in Saba, not seen in the project slide or in the filmstrip view (Captivate Version 9.0.1.320)

First report was some button text, shape text, standard text boxes were not showing up on some slides in SABA. Investigating this, when I open this captivate file I can see missing text on many slides and filmstrip views. When I physically click on the text box, shape or button on the slide, or in the timeline, they show up. I save and close the project; reopen the same project and the text is not there.

Here is a screenshot.  You can see that there should be a lot of text on this slide but none is showing in either location. Anyone seen this before?

OK.  Well if your project has become corrupted, which would appear so, one option is to try hiding groups of slides and republishing to see if you can fix the issue that way.  If you can, it generally means the corruption is limited to those hidden slides somewhere. Then you can narrow it down further.

You can also try copying all slides over to a new project file of the same dimensions.

Sometimes that will remove the corruption because it forces Captivate to rename all the objects.

However, if tha

Yes I have seen this before.  Can sometimes be resolved by Cleaning out your Project Cache via the button in Preferences.

In some case you may also need to reset your preferences folder.

Hey RodWard, thank you for taking the time to reply! I cleared my cache and renamed my captivate 9 folder to _old in the user data/local folder as well as under the roaming folder. Regenerated new folders after opening and sadly, no luck. Still seeing the same issue.

I have opened some other captivate project files and I *think* this is the only project that I see this happening on. It has been worked on by two other developers but we all have the same version of Captivate. Is there a way to debug a project file?

However, if that doesn't work, you may need to think about rebuilding from scratch.

I copied all of the slides over to a new project file and that did the trick.  Thanks for your help and guidance on this.
