Text-to-speech/cursor issues after publication to EXE and SWF

We have Captivate 9 and are updating videos that we created using Captivate 6. A few of our videos seem to have a really odd problem after publication to EXE and SWF. On some of the slides, the mouse moves very slow and the click sound doesn't play, and then when you click the Back button, the mouse moves at a normal speed and the click sound plays. On some of the other slides, the first word in the text to speech is getting chopped off. These are only software demo slides and these slides play fine in preview mode of Captivate. I have tried talking to Adobe Support for three hours yesterday. I sent him the file and he said he had no problems with the text to speech after publication although he did admit that the mouse click sound wasn't playing for him either. I think we have tried everything to get this video to play normally, including publishing as high quality, publishing the sound at CD rate, duplicating all of the problem slides, copying and pasting the problem slides into a new project, adding silence to the beginning of the problem slides, adding a half second of time before and after the audio on each slide, and changing the exit and enter actions to No Action. I even tried a hot fix that the technician suggested. That didn't work either. If it were just one file I would be fine to write this off as a fluke and re-do the video. But this is occurring in several of our videos and it is driving me crazy. Several of my team members have experienced the same results, not just me, so I don't think it could be flash or network related. Most of our other videos work fine after publication. Please let me know if anyone else has any ideas or has experienced anything like this. What I don't understand is why most of the slides in the video play sluggishly and others play totally fine.
