The quiz score does not get registered in the system if the quiz is closed without reviewing it. It shows the score and gives a fail or pass rating, the reviewing is fine but once the quiz is closed the rating will say that you've failed or scored 0%. Is there a way this can be changed?

It should NOT be necessary to review the quiz in order for your score to be recorded to the LMS.
Can you please show screenshots of your Quiz > Reporting settings?
Also, please try uploading the same content to SCORM Cloud online LMS to test whether the same issue occurs. This could be an LMS problem, not your content.

I don't think it is a problem with the SCORM or my LMS since some courses do work and others don't. I'm not sure where the difference is thought.
I don't know how to upload it to a SCORM cloud online LMS.

It seems like the score is reported in the cloud version. This means it might be a problem with the LMS, can you explain to me what would be the problem with it.
I was wondering if the reason it doesn't register is because the course does not close automatically but instead to close the course the window must be closed. But it does the same in the cloud version and does register there.

Honestly, this is a question you need to be putting to your LMS vendor's technical staff.
SCORM Cloud is regarded as about the most SCORM-compliant LMS on the planet. This shows that Captivate's output is SCORM-Compliant.
Ask your LMS vendor why their LMS fails to register a SCORM package that works in SCORM Cloud. They should know their own system well enough to tell you.

I've been busy trying to figure it out with help but I noticed today that the course I tested in the cloud SCORM is one that also works fine in our LMS. The courses that fail to register the score in our LMS are all too big to be uploaded on the cloud SCORM. I do believe that it might be a problem with the way the courses are saved. All courses are saved in the same way but some just seem to work and some don't, there must be something I'm not seeing.

I have made one course shorter and it seems like it doesn't work in our LMS but does in the Cloud so I guess it really is a problem with our LMS
