I have a series of 6 or 7 slides that describes a particular administrative function. The concept is anchored with a image that repeats across all slides. It is set to fade in on the first slide and then have no transition on the remaining slides. When I publish the course as HTML5, the image fades in the first slide, but there's a slight blink on the remaining slides. I've checked the SVG CSS Properties in illustrator and they are set to Presentation attributes. Does anyone have a fix for this? I'm using around 100 SVG files, to keep the file size manageable and the output crisp.
Thank you,
Jeffrey

Are the SVG's set to display for the rest of the project?

No. If I could do that it would solve the problem. Unfortunately, I'm covering 10 departments and each has an anchoring image. (Calculator for Finance, Computer for Information Technology, et al.). I also have an SVG in the header on the master slide that blinked, but I fixed that by adding it to the first slide and setting it to show for the rest of the project. That fixed the blinking, but I can't do that for the departmental images.

That blinking issue is there since some versions, mostly for shapes, I didn't have it for SVG's yet myself. The only workaround I know was the timing for the rest of the project, so that it doesn't have to reload. Another workaround is to give it a short fade in transition. Are you using the last version of 9? There was some improvement for SVG's in 9.0.2

Yes, I'm on release 9.02. I'm hoping they address this sooner rather than later. SVGs are a critical component of big projects. I have over 500 slides and the size is still only 125 MB.

Totally agree, I was very happy when 9 finally offered the opportunity to import SVG's, but this is the first version! I am sure there will be improvements in the future releases. Being able to use SVG's as shapes (which can be turned into buttons) and/or inserting SVG as fill in a shape (which is now only possible with bitmap images) are two of my feature requests. Did you log some?
Not only file size, but also the fact that they are vector-based, essential for responsive projects is important.

Hi Jeffrey,
Can you state your exact 9.0.2 version? Is it 437?
Thanks,
Mohana

This definitely appears to be the case with SVG's. I am not seeing this issue with PNG or JPG. Does anyone know if this issue was resolved in Captivate 2017?
