Themes for specficic slides

I was wondering if there was a way to apply a theme to a selected amount of slides instead of the entire project itself.

Which version are you using please?

In my mind this is totally contrary to the real concept of themes. However, if you want that: in CP2019, most recent version 11.5, you can have multiple themes in one project. That means multiple theme colors palettes, master slides, tons of objects styles etc.

Are you sure you need multiple themes, Can you explain your goal more in detail?

A better solution would be to have one theme but alternative master slides that achieve the same result. For example, I designed a theme about a year ago that included several versions of the same master slides. Each version utilized a different colour scheme to denote different modules within the same course.

Master slides are part of  a theme, what do you mean by 'atlernative master slide'? If you add another master slide, you have been editing the present theme. I am totally confused now.

That's what Paul was explaining.  Instead of having multiple Themes, just add more duplicate Master Slides with slightly different layouts or styles (i.e. 'alternative master slides) that can then also be applied to slides in a given part of your project.

I do this all the time in my own projects.  I would much rather ONLY have to manage ONE theme.  And if Adobe has introduced the possibility of using multiple Themes in a single project WITHOUT introducing major bugs, then I will be amazed.

It will be interesting to see if they've managed to fix any of the existing bugs in the way that Object Styles and Themes work.  Changing Themes in a project has always been something to avoid like the plague because you ended up with dozens of redundant Object Styles.

I suspect the OP doesn't know exactly which components are in a Theme, but may be wrong. Adding a master slide, as I wrote, just means that you are editing that component of the theme.

Rod, I don't like the idea of multiple themes in one project neither, but it is linked with the new QSP's.  I am not yet at the end of my exploration of the changes to themes, but will publish when it is done. I know already how multiple color palettes are managed (not bad at all)…. not yet fully management of Object styles.

If you really need it , you can achieve it through below steps:

1. Select the desired slides
2. Themes Panel > Right click on a theme
3. Choose option 'Apply to selected slides only'

@Udaya We don't know which version is used by the OP? Your solution is only valid for the most recent update od CP2019.
