Timing of triggering completion status - Captivate 9

New Here ,

Hey all... I'm in Captivate v9. I have a Menu screen that takes the learner to various topics in my course. Once a topic is complete, the icon on the Menu for that topic is grayed out, indicating it's been viewed. However... simply opening the topic screen triggers completion status... they can click the topic and quickly exit without seeing / hearing everything. I'm looking for a way to delay completion status / graying out the topic icon until the topic's whole screen has played / been viewed. Can I somehow use the audio for this...? Or the length / time of the topic's screen?

Can I disable the Next/Back/Play buttons for a certain period of time?

Thanks!

Captivate doesn't provide that functionality at the moment.

Your best option at present is to NOT use the playbar by either ditching it altogether or just hiding it on those slides where you need to play Dictator and enforce watching the content.

If you use your own navigation buttons on those slides then you can place them on the timeline where ever you want.  You'll probably also want to Lock the TOC as well via the On Slide Enter event to prevent them from navigation via that method.
