Track course LMS with complete/incomplete

New Here ,

I have this course that I need to track by complete incomplete, with a 100% slide completion. The thing is, the course has a lot of hidden slides and those shouldn't be counted for course completion. I just wanted to know if there's any way to mark out some specific slides that need to be finished in order to have it complete (be it directly from a captivate tool or a workaround). Thanks! I'm using Captivate 9.0.0.223.

First of all, you are still on the (buggy) first release of CP9. You missed a couple of patches, please upgrade ASAP to 99.0.2.437.

Hidden slides will not be in the published project, at least if you mean by 'hidden' slides that are marked as hidden in the filmstrip of the raw cptx file. Nevertheless I would never require a 100% slides view.

If you want to find a way to have the slides that have to be visited tracking, easiest way is not to use a playbar but to create custom navigation buttons that push the learner at visiting all those slides. Add a scored object on the last slide and ask for completion not only slide views but also a passing score equal to the score of that object. It could be an exit button.

I'll update it then! And by hidden I actually mean that they are not visible in the menu or accesible from there (which is how we call those slides at my workplace). I had forgotten that Captivate has a feature to "hide" slides and didn't realise the mixup.

I will try your workaround! We already have in-slide custom navigation buttons so it shouldn't be such a hassle hopefully. Thank you!
