Trouble publishing

Guest

I have gone thru all the settings required by our LMS and when I publish, I get an error, "Can not Delete the folder "name of my folder".  When I go to that location, there is an empty folder there.  I looked thru the questions in the community and there was another person who get the same error but no one had an answer.  Any ideas of what is going on or what I should do to move forward?

Very strange, and the first time I hear such a question (and I have posted thousands of answers on this forum).

Is Captivate installed on your system, not on a networked drive (or in a roaming profile)? Are the paths in Preferences, both for Publish at and Cache folders pointing to folders on your system?

Yes to all your questions.  I never did figure out what was going on.  Very strange.  But I went back to the raw files and got something to work.  The deal with the folders is one of the most strange things I've ever had with computers.  Still makes no sense.  If anyone has an idea what that meant, I'd love to know.  It would build an empty folder and then say it cannot delete it , even though that was the folder it should have been putting the files into.  I tried the zip and the non zip when publishing and both had the same error.

Thanks for your effort to help

There is another person who had the same issue.  He was asked to tryt and save it to the desktop.  I tried the same and got something to work

But this is very strange.  I agree!
