New Here ,
Oct 08, 2016 Oct 08, 2016

I activated Macromedia Captivate using the guideline from Error, "Unable to Activate" in Macromedia legacy products https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/macromedia-legacy-activation-error.html

Macromedia Captivate indicated I need to install Macromedia Flash Player.

However, My laptop is using Window 10 - Flash Player is integrated with Microsoft Edge. I followed below instruction to troubleshoot, but still failed. Anyone could advice ? I trying to open a Macromedia Captivate files which I created 8 years ago!

Adobe Flash Player issues with Windows 10 (Microsoft Edge)

Thank you.

Hi there

macromedia Captivate would be version 1 of Captivate. Pretty old too. I'll be surprised if it even works and runs. Likely it isn't understanding the new versions of flash. You will need to locate and try to install an old version of the flash player. The link below should offer older versions. Likely you need a version that was popular in 2006 or so.

Good luck with that! Rick
