Unable to copy and paste slides from Captivate 2017 to Captivate 9 project

I created a project in Captivate 2017 and am trying to get the work imported into Captivate 9. I know Captivate can't downsave but I was hoping I could either open the .cptl file in C9 or copy and paste the slides into C9. Nether work.

When I try to go File - New - Project from Template in C9, the Captivate 2017 template looks like it's trying to open but does nothing. There is no dialogue, no error message and no project open.

The same thing happens when I try to copy and paste the slides. The slide shows a progress bar for copying and when I paste, a window briefly pops up as if it's pasting but nothing happens.

As you have found, Captivate doesn't really support what you are trying to do.

Your quickest solution may simply be to recreate your project again in Cp9.
