Hi all
I'm using Version 8 (german Version) on a PC.
After opening a Captivate 7 CPTX files in Captivate 8, a popup apears with an error message:
Adobe Captivate could not open "the file" Ensure that:
-The files is not open already
- The file is not damanged.
-The hard disk has suffecient available space
-The system has suffeicent resources.
The same error message apears after trying to open the same file with Cp9 Cloud Version. It seems that all files from Captivate 7 are affected.
How can I open/import my old projects?
Thank you
Regards
Robert

When you installed CP8, did you follow the Release notes about cleaning Preferences, deleting some folders in Public (or shared) documents? There is not a difference between a subscription and a perpetual license, just be sure to have always the latest versions. For 9 it is now 9.0.2.437. Clean cache regularly.

Thanks for your answer.
Our Company IT ordered CP8 and installed the it on my PC (I don't have admin rights on my PC). I canot say, whether the Release notes have been followed. What do you mean with "cleaning Preferences" ?
My Cp Version: 8.0.0.145

Here are some recommendations, it is very probable that the guidelines were not followed. Maybe for some recommendations you'll need administrator rights, or contact the IT people again:
Meanwhile, insist also that you'd be given the privileges needed to Run Captivate as Administrator if you are on Windows.
